
Description
This course will teach you how to safely and effectively fly a multicopter UAV using the main manual flight modes provided by ArduCopter. It includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on simulated flight practice exercises to help you master these modes. This course assumes the student is proficient at flying multicopters, and focuses on understanding the particulars of ArduCopter flight modes. This course is certified by the ArduPilot Project and includes expert tips and tricks on how to best use the ArduPilot flight control system. Upon completion of the course, students receive an official completion certificate.
Scope
Learn the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively use the 3 basic manual multicopter flight modes offered by ArduCopter: Stabilize, Alt Hold, and Loiter.
Prerequisites
This course is geared towards understanding the workings and distinctions of each of the ArduCopter basic manual flight modes, rather than teaching the skills of flying of a multicopter. It is assumed that the student is already proficient at flying a multicopter. If you have no experience flying multicopters, it is recommended that you take the Manual Piloting of Multirotor UAVs Course before this one.
